Ross Hoyer

Ross Hoyer has a diverse work experience in software engineering and teaching. Ross has worked at automotiveMastermind Inc. since 2018, starting as a Software Engineer and progressing to Senior Software Engineer and currently serves as the Associate Director of Software Engineering. Prior to that, they worked at OPSWAT as a Software Engineer from 2015 to 2018. Ross also had a brief tenure at Microsoft as a Software Development Engineer in 2014. Ross began their career as a Lead Programmer at Quid Fit LLC in 2011 before joining the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology as a Teaching and Research Assistant from 2012 to 2014. Additionally, they interned as a Mobile Development Intern at XRS Corporation in 2013.

Ross Hoyer obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from South Dakota Mines, where they studied from 2007 to 2012. Ross further pursued their education at South Dakota Mines and received a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computational Sciences & Robotics from 2012 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, Ross Hoyer obtained the Accelerated Management Program certification from Yale School of Management Executive Education in August 2021.
