Yair Sharf is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background in various industries. yair co-founded Autonomous Pivot in 2017 and serves as the Co-Founder and VP of R&D. At Autonomous Pivot, Yair works towards maximizing yield and reducing costs for growers through the development of autonomous irrigation, fertigation, and crop protection systems.
Before Autonomous Pivot, Yair held the position of VP R&D at CropX Technologies LTD from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a project lead on a freelance basis at Veriest in 2016.
Yair gained significant experience at Microsoft, where they served as a Digital Video architect from 2010 to 2015. yair also worked as an architect at Zikbit from 2009 to 2010 and as a senior VLSI engineer at 3DV systems from 2008 to 2009.
Yair started their career as a VLSI engineer at Intel from 2005 to 2008 and held a similar role at Oplus technologies from 2004 to 2005. yair co-founded variscite in 2003 and worked as an HW engineer at charlotte's web networks from 2000 to 2002.
Yair Sharf studied electrical engineering at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 1996 to 2000, earning a BSe degree.

Autonomous Pivot
Our goal is to enable growers to maximize yield and reduce costs by turning center-pivot irrigation systems into robotics platform for autonomous irrigation, fertigation, and crop protection. Autonomous Pivot’s platform utilizes the world’s first on-pivot Ground Penetrating Radar for continuous noninvasive sensing of soil water content, togetherwith proprietary deep learning and AI agronomist technologies, the platform enables fully automatic symptoms detection and autonomous irrigation, fertigation, and crop protection.
