Don Berchoff

Don Berchoff is a board member at Autonomy Institute. Don was previously the Chief Technology Officer and Vice President at Tempoquest from August 2016 to December 2018. During their time at Tempoquest, they successfully accelerated processing the most widely used regional weather simulation in the world, the Weather Research Forecast (WRF) model. TQI achieved a 500% acceleration on Graphics Processing Units (GPU).

From 2014 to 2015, they were the Vice President of Americas and Transport at TruWeather Solutions. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Advanced Weather Programs and Department of Interior and Navy Practice Executive at Unisys from 2012 to 2014.

From 2008 to 2012, they served as the Director of National Weather Service Office of Science and Technology, Senior Executive Service at National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (Dept. of Commerce), Silver Spring, MD.

Don retired from the United States Air Force in 2008 after serving for 24 years.

Don Berchoff has a MS in National Security Strategy from the National Defense University, a BS in Meteorology from SUNY Oneonta, and a MA in Procurement and Acquisition from Webster University. Don also has a certification from the Department of Veteran's Affairs in TruWeather Solutions is a Veteran-owned small business.
