Sandeep Sovani

Sandeep Sovani is a renowned figure in the world of engineering simulation and autonomous vehicles. Sandeep currently serves as a board member at the Autonomy Institute, and was previously the head of product strategy and product management for Ansys' ADAS & Autonomous Vehicles product line. Sovani was responsible for creating the product vision, roadmap, and go-to-market plan for the product line, as well as executing a moonshot technology advancement project to create and deliver a first ever multi-platform, multi-ego, autonomous vehicles simulation platform for the Indy Autonomous Challenge. This project culminated in a virtual high speed autonomous vehicles race where 30 universities from around the world competed for a grand prize. Prior to their work at Ansys, Sovani served as the global director, head of go-to-market strategy, and head of product strategy for Automotive Industry at ANSYS, Inc. Sandeep has also worked as a technical manager for Fluent Inc, where they led a team of application engineers in developing computational fluid dynamics software.

Sandeep Sovani has earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from College of Engineering Pune. Sandeep also has certification from Amazon in Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner and certification from Pragmatic Institute in Pragmatic Marketing Product Management.
