Jacob Buck

Jacob Buck has worked in the software and games industry since 1999. Jacob began their career as a Producer at Interactive Television Entertainment, where they were also the lead programmer and game designer. In 2000, they became Head of Development and Executive Producer at ITE ApS, overseeing the development and production of 16+ published games and 5+ unpublished titles on PC, Playstation, Gameboy Color, and Gameboy Advance. In 2002, Jacob took on the role of Executive Producer at InterActive Vision, where they oversaw the development of many projects in all IAV offices as well as with external teams. In 2005, Jacob became a partner and Director of Development at Guppyworks ApS, where they were responsible for setting up a team and leading them through the development of two main projects. In 2009, Jacob founded BuckCreations and took on the role of Owner and Software & Games Consultant, where they implemented payment systems and integrated QuickPay, Zong and Gettitcard. Jacob also took on the role of CTO and Software Consultant at AutoRemind, where they developed web-based frontend and server backend (on distributed cloud architecture) for administrating mBox's Autoremind platform. In 2009, Jacob also became Producer at Apex Virtual Entertainment, where they were hired as the 3rd employee to recruit a team and produce a demo of a MMO game. Finally, in 2001, Jacob founded and became the Coordinator of the Denmark Chapter of the International Game Developers Association, where they established a local community and grew public awareness.

Jacob Buck's education history includes attending \u00d8ster Kippinge Skole from 1978 to 1986, Vordingborg Gymnasium from 1988 to 1991, Aalborg University from 1991 to 1999, where they earned an M.Sc. E.E. in Intelligent Multimedia, and The University of Edinburgh from 1998 to 1999, where they did not graduate.
