Steve Furger has worked in the aerospace engineering industry since 2009. Steve began their career as an Intern at URS Corporation in 2009 and then at Space Systems Loral in 2012. In 2010, they became an Aerospace Engineer at CubeSat. In 2013, they joined SpaceX as a Dynamics Engineer and then moved up to Lead Dynamics Engineer, Manager of Dynamics and Environments, and finally Director of Dynamics. In 2022, they became the Director of Flight Sciences at Hermeus.
Steve Furger obtained a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo between 2008 and 2013.
