Maaike Stouten

Maaike Stouten is an experienced professional in the field of law and financial regulation, currently serving as a Senior Supervision Officer at the Autoriteit Financiële Markten since July 2021. Maaike has also worked as a Senior Policy Officer at the AFM since April 2014, where responsibilities include leading exploratory research on the roles of Audit Committees in external auditor selection and quality review. Prior roles include Senior Legal Counsel and Legal Counsel at the Autoriteit Financiële Markten, and academic positions at Universiteit Utrecht and Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam, culminating in a PhD from Utrecht University focused on regulatory compliance.
