Petra van Rijn has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Petra began their career as an Attorney at Dirkzwager advocaten & notarissen in 1996 and worked there until 2003. Following this, they joined Pels Rijcken & Droogleever Fortuijn as a Senior Attorney and worked there for almost a decade, from 2003 to 2012.

In 2012, van Rijn joined the Ministry of Finance as a Coordinator and held that position until 2016. During their time at the Ministry, they gained valuable knowledge and skills in coordinating tasks and projects.

Since 2016, van Rijn has been associated with the Autoriteit Financiële Markten (AFM). Petra initially worked as a Project Manager for Rentederivaten from December 2016 to April 2018 and then took on the role of Manager Asset Management from May 2018 onwards.
