Sjoerd Janssen

Sjoerd Janssen is currently serving as a Junior Legal Counsel at the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) since September 2022, focusing on promoting fair and transparent financial markets in the Netherlands. Prior experience includes working as an Associate in Litigation & Dispute Resolution at Monard Law from March 2019 to August 2022, and as a Junior Associate in the same field at IusStart from September 2016 to June 2018. Additional roles include a summer internship at FOD Justitie SPF Justice and a summer internship at de Rechtspraak in 2015. Sjoerd Janssen holds an LL.M. in Economic Law with a minor in Tax Law from KU Leuven, along with other specialized qualifications in banking and finance law from Université catholique de Louvain and Maastricht University, and a Bachelor of Laws degree from UHasselt.
