Sophy Kroon

Sophy Kroon currently serves as Coördinator Public Affairs and Policy Advisor for International Affairs at Autoriteit Financiële Markten since April 2017, focusing on strategy, policy, and international relations, and previously held the role of Toezichthouder, concentrating on market integrity and enforcement. Prior to this, Sophy was a Senior Beleidscontroller at Ministerie van Financiën from March 2012 to April 2017, managing financial markets and state participations, and began as a Financial Trainee at the same ministry as well as at Tweede Kamer der Staten-Generaal. Sophy also gained experience as a Financial Trainee at Ministerie van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap and as an intern in the Department of Foreign Economic Relations at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications. Educational credentials include a CFA Level 1 certification and degrees in Financial Economics (Master) and Economics and Business Economics (Bachelor) from Erasmus University Rotterdam, complemented by a VWO diploma from CSG Het streek.
