Cristian Hamilton

Cristian Hamilton is the VP of Advancement at The Autry. Cristian has over 20 years of experience in the museum industry, with a focus on fundraising and donor relations.

Cristian began their career at the Autry Museum of the American West, where they served as the Senior Director of Development, Constituent Management, and Data Sciences. In this role, Cristian was responsible for the strategic execution and management of a comprehensive annual giving program, including the coordination and oversight of supporting initiatives in the areas of development services and donor relations. Cristian also created and expanded new operations, services, and offerings that drove the establishment of a data-driven fundraising (and membership) culture.

In July 2015, Cristian joined The Autry as the Senior Director of Development, Constituent Management, and Data Sciences. In this role, Cristian was responsible for the strategic execution and management of a comprehensive annual giving program, including the coordination and oversight of supporting initiatives in the areas of development services and donor relations. Cristian also created and expanded new operations, services, and offerings that drove the establishment of a data-driven fundraising (and membership) culture.

In January 2021, Cristian was promoted to Interim VP of Development at The Autry. In this role, Cristian is responsible for the strategic execution and management of all aspects of The Autry’s fundraising program.

Their manager is Stephen Aron, President & CEO. They are on a team with Gaspare Benso - VP of Finance & Operations, Sarah Wilson - Director of Education, and Carolyn Brucken - Chief Curator & Director of Research.
