Evan van Zyl

Evan van Zyl is an experienced data professional with a robust background in data engineering and software development. Currently serving as a Data Operator for Sixty60 at ShopriteX, Evan has held various positions at Autumn Leaf IT since 2013, progressing from Software Engineer to Senior Data Engineer and Developer. Prior to the current role, Evan worked as a Senior Analytics Engineer at ShopriteX, where responsibilities included developing a data processing module with advanced technologies such as Python, Spark, and AWS. Evan also co-led a significant project for Absa Group to replace an outdated SAS-based CLO solution and successfully migrated data feeds to a new Data Lake for The Shoprite Group.
