Matt Opificius

Matt Opificius has a wealth of experience in IT and network security. Matt began their career in 2011 as a Network and Security Engineer at St. Clair County Regional Educational Service Agency. In this role, they maintained WAN and LAN switching, routing, firewall, and wireless network environments across approximately 100 K-12 school buildings. Matt also coordinated and supported Technology Services for Capac Community Schools as a Network Technician and Acting Technology Director. In 2016, they joined Auxiom - The Gold Standard in Business IT as a Professional Services Manager. In this role, they were responsible for architecting Network and Security Solutions for Auxiom's clients, as well as managing network and security integration projects. Matt also oversaw the daily operations and projects of the Auxiom Professional Services team.

Matt Opificius received their High School Diploma from Capac High School in 2010. Matt then went on to receive a Bachelor of Information Technology and Security from Baker College of Port Huron in 2014. Matt has also obtained several certifications, including Juniper Networks MIST Wi-Fi Certified in March 2021, Juniper Networks Certified Associate (JNCIA-Junos) in April 2017, Juniper Networks Certified Associate, Network Design, JNCDA in May 2020, Palo Alto Networks Systems Engineer - Platform Professional (PSE-P) in June 2019, and PCNSE - Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer in April 2019.
