Ted Haeger has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning across various roles and companies. Ted currently serves as the Chief Customer Officer and head of US operations at AVA Inc., a company that specializes in creating home tech products. Prior to AVA, Ted was self-employed as a Brand Voice Workshop Leader, helping companies like Crestron and MindTouch develop customer-centric voices for their products and marketing.
Before their entrepreneurship, Ted held leadership positions at SnapAV and Control4. At SnapAV, they served as the Vice President of Product Management, overseeing a team responsible for generating significant revenue through brands such as Control4, Triad, Episode speakers, Binary MoIP video distribution, and SunBrite Outdoor TVs. During their tenure at Control4, they held the positions of Vice President of Education & Support and Senior Director of Training & Support Services, where they implemented knowledge-centric support systems, transformed support into a global organization, and created an award-winning blended learning certification program.
Prior to joining SnapAV and Control4, Ted worked at EMC and VMware, where they played crucial roles in product management and strategy for Mozy, a personal data storage and protection service. Additionally, they also worked at Alcatel-Lucent and Bell Labs as a Developer Network Manager and Developer Relations Manager, respectively.
Ted's early career involved serving as the Director of Developer Programs at Bungee Labs, where they were responsible for designing and implementing the Bungee Connect Developer Network, an online community program for Bungee Connect, a cloud computing platform for web application development.
Throughout their career, Ted has demonstrated their passion for customer satisfaction and has consistently contributed to the growth and success of the organizations they have been a part of.
Ted Haeger attended the University of California, Santa Cruz from 1987 to 1991, where they pursued a degree in Environmental Studies. During their time at the university, their field of study involved Natural History and Urban Planning.
