Ava Community Energy
Brett Wiley is currently the Senior Program Associate at Ava Community Energy, where Brett manages various electric mobility programs with a focus on equity and community reinvestment. Brett is also an Adjunct Professor at Presidio Graduate School, teaching courses on sustainable economic development. Brett's previous roles include working as a Senior Customer Programs Manager at MCE, a Director of Energy Programs at Groundswell, Inc, and a Policy Outreach Intern at The White House. Brett holds a Master of Public Affairs degree from O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs and a B.S. in Biology from Truman State University.
Ava Community Energy
Ava Community Energy (Ava), formerly East Bay Community Energy (EBCE), is the local, not-for-profit electricity supplier powering Alameda County and the City of Tracy (electricity service to the Cities of Stockton and Lathrop will begin in 2025). Ava provides clean, green energy at low rates to our 640,000 customers. We reinvest earnings back into the community to create local green energy jobs, local programs, and clean power projects. Ava member cities include Albany, Berkeley, Dublin, Emeryville, Fremont, Hayward, Livermore, Newark, Oakland, Piedmont, Pleasanton, San Leandro, Stockton, Tracy, and Union City. The unincorporated areas of Alameda County (including Ashland, Castro Valley, Cherryland, Fairview, San Lorenzo, and Sunol) are also served by Ava.
