Ava Community Energy
Kevin Li is a Principal Data Scientist with experience in developing custom end-to-end analytic solutions for utility clients. With a background in statistics and machine learning, Kevin has successfully implemented various projects such as identifying orphaned meters, predicting transformer failures, and evaluating energy savings in buildings. Kevin has mentored junior team members and collaborated with development teams to improve algorithm performance and expand product features. Prior to their current role, Kevin has also worked in research and business development roles at prominent companies like Oracle, Microsoft, and Carnegie Mellon University.
Ava Community Energy
Ava Community Energy (Ava), formerly East Bay Community Energy (EBCE), is the local, not-for-profit electricity supplier powering Alameda County and the City of Tracy (electricity service to the Cities of Stockton and Lathrop will begin in 2025). Ava provides clean, green energy at low rates to our 640,000 customers. We reinvest earnings back into the community to create local green energy jobs, local programs, and clean power projects. Ava member cities include Albany, Berkeley, Dublin, Emeryville, Fremont, Hayward, Livermore, Newark, Oakland, Piedmont, Pleasanton, San Leandro, Stockton, Tracy, and Union City. The unincorporated areas of Alameda County (including Ashland, Castro Valley, Cherryland, Fairview, San Lorenzo, and Sunol) are also served by Ava.
