Francis W.

Francis W. has extensive experience in the field of chemistry. Francis has held various positions throughout their career, starting in 1990 as a Research Scientist at Roche Discovery Welwyn. Francis then advanced to become the Head of Chemistry at Xenova from 2001 to 2003. Francis then joined Cellzome as the Director of Chemistry from 2003 to 2007. Francis continued their career at Summit Therapeutics, where they served as the Director of Chemistry for 15 years, from 2007 to 2022. Currently, Francis holds the position of VP Chemistry at Avacta, starting in September 2022.

Francis W. attended Nottingham High School from 1975 to 1982. In 1983, they joined the University of Oxford and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) degrees in Chemistry in 1990. In 2021, Francis W. received the certification of Fellow Chartered Chemist from the Royal Society of Chemistry.
