Marcos Costa

Marcos Costa has over 20 years of work experience in software development. Marcos started their career as a Perl Developer at Abril Mídia in 1999 and then worked as a Perl, ASP, and VB developer at Itaú Unibanco from 2001 to 2002. Marcos joined Ford Motor Company in 2002 as a Sr. Developer, where they developed internal applications, financial applications, and system integrations. Marcos also learned Java during a pilot project. Marcos then moved to Nextel Telecomunicações in 2006 as a Sr. Developer. From 2009 to 2012, Marcos worked at Dialog Information Technology as a Sr. Developer, where they developed and maintained applications for the Australian government. Marcos then joined Multiplus S/A in 2012 as a Sr. Developer, where they developed two online stores. In 2013, Marcos worked as a Team Lead at BSI Tecnologia. Since 2014, they have been working at Availity as a Software Engineer IV - Tech Lead. In this role, they lead a team of five developers and focuses on developing REST services and improving code quality. Marcos is also part of a selected team that suggests and implements new technologies.

Marcos Costa obtained their Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Product Design from Universidade Paulista during the years 1998 to 2001. Prior to that, they completed high school at Instituto Tecnico Bacelar (IT Technical highschool) between 1994 and 1997, with a focus on Information Technology. In addition, Marcos holds a certification in SCJP 1.4.
