Christie Vekic is an experienced nursing professional with a diverse background in various healthcare settings. Currently serving as a Preop Charge Nurse at Avala since May 2015, Christie has extensive experience as a registered nurse in multiple facilities, including Dr. Cynthia Mizgala, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Breast Center of New Orleans, and Advanced Plastic Surgery. Christie’s expertise encompasses patient care in Neonatal Intensive Care Units at St. Tammany Parish Hospital and Ochsner Health System, along with a solid foundation in pharmaceutical sales as a Diabetes Specialist at Takeda Pharmaceuticals. Christie holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from LSU Health Sciences Center School of Nursing, completed in 1999.
