Duncan James

Duncan James is an Operating Partner with Francisco Partners and focuses on the healthcare IT market.

Prior to the Operating Partner role with Francisco Partners, Duncan was the CEO of two private-equity-backed healthcare IT companies, MModal and QuadraMed. He also served as Group President at McKesson Corporation for 9 years responsible for the hospital and health systems market solutions and was a member of the McKesson Corporate Operating Committee. Duncan brings more than 25 years of experience in healthcare IT spanning domestic and international operations, strategic planning, sales and marketing, services, and product management.

Duncan serves on the Board of additional Francisco Partner companies including e-Solutions, Nextech, and QGenda. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
