Bryan Westhead

Bryan Westhead is an accomplished finance professional with over a decade of experience in the real estate and insurance industries. Currently serving as Vice President of Finance at AvalonBay Communities since September 2010, Bryan has held various roles including Senior Director and Director of Finance. Key contributions include leading financial analysis for property operations, developing a $16 billion underwriting model for the acquisition of Archstone Communities, and assisting in the design of an enterprise data warehouse. Prior experience includes a role as Process Analyst at GEICO, where metrics and models for underwriting performance were developed. Bryan began a financial career as an Intern/Advisor Trainee at First Command Financial Planning. Academically, Bryan holds an MBA in Finance from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a BSBA in Finance from the University of Florida.
