Sean Willson

Sean Willson is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in accounting and corporate financial management. Currently serving as Corporate Controller at AvalonBay Communities since 2006, Sean has previously held the position of Director of Accounting Policy & Hedge Accounting at Freddie Mac from 2002 to 2006. Earlier in Sean's career, a managerial role at Arthur Andersen from 1996 to 2002 provided foundational expertise in the field. Sean's educational background includes a degree from Virginia Tech in the Pamplin College of Business (1991-1995) and further studies at Virginia Tech (2001-2005).
