Martin Braendli

Martin Braendli's work experience starts in 1994 as a Sales/Operations/Collections/New Accounts employee at Cembra Money Bank AG. Martin later becomes eSales Strategy & Insurance Manager, responsible for digitization projects and managing the insurance portfolio. In 2005, they join GE Capital's Information Management Leadership Program. After completing the program, they return to Cembra Money Bank AG as the CISO & Head of IT Governance, Controlling, and Security. In this role, they are responsible for information security and IT governance and manages a significant budget. In 2011, they join GE Pension Fund as a member of the Board of Trustees before transitioning to GE Capital as the Program Leader for IT Governance & Digital Operations. Martin leads the implementation of global regulatory readiness projects and manages IT operations across multiple countries. In 2020, they become the Acting Chief Information Security Officer at SPS Outline SA, and in 2022, they are promoted to Chief Information Security Officer & Head of ESG Solutions. In 2022, they also take on the role of Global Head, Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance at Avaloq.

Martin Braendli completed their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a major in Information Technology, from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW in 2002. In 2019, they obtained a FinTech Certification from Harvard University. Recently, in 2021, Martin completed a Cyber Security for Managers program at IMD. Additionally, they hold various certifications, including Certified Data Privacy Solution Engineer (CDPSE) from ISACA in 2020, Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge v.4 (CCSK) from the Cloud Security Alliance in 2019, Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) in 2012, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) in 2012.
