Maurits Korthals Altes is an accomplished entrepreneur and leader with extensive experience in the fields of artificial intelligence, robotics, and technology innovation. As Co-Founder and CEO of Avalor AI since September 2021, Maurits specializes in designing AI solutions tailored for dynamic and unreliable environments, integrating academic knowledge with practical expertise. Prior to this role, Maurits served as a student employee at the Ministerie van Defensie, contributing to robotics and AI projects while undergoing military training and leadership development. Additionally, Maurits co-founded BluLocks, a company aimed at combating bike theft through innovative locking technology. Educationally, Maurits holds multiple degrees, including a Master's in Systems & Control from Delft University of Technology and a Master's in Operations Research and Quantitative Logistics from Erasmus School of Economics.
