Research Scientist And Radiation Safety Officer at Avance Biosciences

Aaron Raymond, PhD, is an experienced research scientist and radiation safety officer at Avance Biosciences, Inc. since March 2021. Prior to this role, Aaron served as a high school science teacher at Houston ISD from August 2019 to March 2021 and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Houston from February 2015 to April 2019, focusing on novel biomarkers for cancer stem cells. Aaron has a history of conducting significant research projects at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where a multidisciplinary project on a pro-cancer gene was managed from January 2007 to December 2013, along with previous roles at the University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Aaron holds a PhD and MS in Genes and Development from UT MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, as well as a BS in Bioinformatics and Molecular Biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
