Melissa Fernandez

Melissa Fernandez is a seasoned professional in project management and clinical research, currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at Avance Clinical since February 2025. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Operations Manager at The University of Queensland and Clinical Trials Project Manager at Novotech and QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, where comprehensive management of clinical trials was a primary focus. Melissa also held the position of Senior Research Fellow at A*STAR, leading collaborations for innovative research in wound repair therapies. Earlier experience as a Research Fellow at Queensland University of Technology involved managing clinical research projects and grant submissions. Melissa holds a PhD in Biochemistry, alongside a Bachelor of Science Honours and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Science, all from Queensland University of Technology.
