Javier Bucobo

Javier Bucobo is currently serving as the Vice President of Markets and Regulatory Affairs at AVANGRID, Inc., a position held since September 2023. Previously, from March 2010 to September 2023, Javier Bucobo worked at the New York Power Authority as the Assistant General Counsel for Power, Transmission & Regulatory, where responsibilities included advising various business units on energy-related projects and managing a team of attorneys. Earlier in this tenure, Javier Bucobo served as Principal Attorney, leading negotiations for long-term power purchase agreements with significant governmental entities and overseeing the merger of the New York State Canal Corporation into the New York Power Authority. Javier Bucobo holds a Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from St. John's University.
