Jonathan Kinnell

Jonathan Kinnell has over 20 years of experience in the clinical research field. Jonathan currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of Operations at Avania since August 2022. Prior to this, Jonathan worked at Labcorp (previously Covance) as a Senior Director of Medical Device Operations from January 2019 to January 2023. Before that, they held various roles at Chiltern, including Senior Director of Medical Device Operations from January 2017 to December 2018. Jonathan also served as Director of UK Clinical Operations from April 2014 to December 2016, Associate Director of Clinical Monitoring from October 2011 to March 2014, Senior Manager of Clinical Monitoring from April 2009 to October 2011, and Manager of Clinical Monitoring from May 2007 to April 2009.

Jonathan's earlier career includes roles at Kendle International Inc as a Project Manager from November 2006 to May 2007, Charles River Laboratories as a CRA Manager from August 2005 to November 2006, Inveresk Research as a Principal CRA/Senior CRA from June 2000 to August 2005, and Phoenix International as a Clinical Research Associate from October 1998 to June 2000.

Jonathan Kinnell completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology & Biochemistry from the University of KwaZulu-Natal between 1989 and 1992. Jonathan then pursued an Honors degree in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Cape Town in 1993. In 1997, Jonathan enrolled at the University of Aberdeen, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Clinical Pharmacology in 1998.
