Tjerk Zult, PhD

Dr. Zult also worked at the Universitair Medisch Centrum Groningen (UMCG) as a PhD Candidate from 2013 to 2017. During this time, they managed and executed clinical trials related to neuronal adaptations to unilateral resistance training. Tjerk reported on data analysis, interpreted findings, and contributed to research publications and conference presentations. Tjerk also assisted in the preparation of funding applications.

Additionally, Dr. Zult worked as a Visiting Master Student at Northumbria University in 2013, where they led a research project investigating neurophysiological adaptations to resistance training. Tjerk collected and analyzed data, interpreted the findings, and presented the research to staff and students within the Department of Sport, Exercise, and Rehabilitation.

In 2012, Dr. Zult served as a Research Assistant at UMCG, where they organized data collection, supervised training programs, and collected data on musculoskeletal and cognitive functions in patients with Dementia.

Furthermore, Dr. Zult was an Executive Board Member at GSAV Vitalis in 2010.

Tjerk Zult, PhD obtained their VWO degree in Nature and Health from CSG Het Noordik in 2008. Tjerk then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Human Movement Sciences at the University of Groningen from 2008 to 2011. Tjerk continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Master's degree in Human Movement Sciences from 2011 to 2013. Tjerk further advanced their education by completing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Human Movement Sciences at the University of Groningen from 2013 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Tjerk Zult also holds several certifications. Tjerk completed the "R Statistics Essential Training" course at LinkedIn in September 2019.
