Barbara Acosta M.ed.

Barbara Acosta M.Ed. is an experienced literacy specialist currently employed by Grapevine-Colleyville ISD since July 2017, where responsibilities include assessing students for dyslexia and collaborating on intervention strategies for grades K-8. Additionally, Barbara has served as an online content producer for Avanoo, designing instructional frameworks, and has a background in curriculum writing as a freelance writer for Words & Numbers. Previous roles include Dyslexia Specialist at Keller Independent School District, where diagnostic assessments and educator coaching were key components, and Director of Education at Sylvan Learning Center, overseeing educational programs and staff development. Barbara holds a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Florida.
