Heather Kernan

Heather Kernan is a Senior Design Quality Engineer NPD at Avanos Medical, having joined the company in March 2024. Previously, Heather served as a Senior Engineer in Design Assurance and Development Quality Engineer II at Abbott from November 2017 to March 2024, where responsibilities included supporting Design Control deliverables and ensuring regulatory compliance. Prior experience includes a Quality Engineer role at Dornier MedTech and managerial responsibilities at Applerouth Tutoring Services. Heather also contributed as a Student Research Assistant and Undergraduate Researcher at Georgia Institute of Technology. Heather holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
