Dertien Avansa-centra, verspreid over Vlaanderen en Brussel, organiseren een waaier aan activiteiten die volwassenen persoonlijke, sociale en culturele competenties bijbrengen en de deelname aan de samenleving stimuleren.

De Vormingplus-centra streven ernaar de kans om blijvend bij te leren binnen het bereik van iedere inwoner te brengen, met bijzondere aandacht voor groepen die moeilijker hun weg naar vorming vinden. 
De centra gebruiken een breed gamma aan werkvormen en brengen het plezier van het leren bij.

Ze doen dat in samenspraak en samenwerking met tal van sociale en culturele sleutelfiguren, organisaties en sectoren die ze willen stimuleren en inspireren.

Als dynamische organisaties willen de Vormingplus-centra garant staan voor expertise, vernieuwing, diversiteit en betrokkenheid.

De Vormingplus-centra willen volwassenen de mogelijkheid bieden om zich in hun vrije tijd verder te ontwikkelen en hun persoonlijke en sociale competenties te vergroten. De centra stimuleren de participatie van mensen en groepen aan het maatschappelijke en culturele leven en versterken hun weerbaarheid en engagement in de samenleving. Tegelijk willen ze dicht bij de mensen ruimten creëren die tot interactie en ontmoeting uitnodigen om zo mensen ertoe aan te zetten van en met elkaar te leren op een ongedwongen en aangename manier.
