Jim Davidson has extensive work experience in various financial and operational roles. Jim started their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where they worked as a Senior Manager in the areas of audit, consulting, and corporate bankruptcy. Jim then joined Unified Grocers as the CFO and Chief Accounting Officer, overseeing internal controls, financial reporting, and mergers and acquisitions. After that, they joined Caliber Packaging Inc., where they served as the Senior Vice President, COO, CFO, and Board of Directors member, leading the strategic and operational turnaround of the company. Following their time at Caliber Packaging, Jim worked as the Chief Operating Officer at B&A Investigative, where they conducted financial forensics, due diligence, and operational consulting for large companies. Jim also held the position of President and CEO at Avant Advisory Group, managing mergers and acquisitions, turnarounds, and financial restructurings. Most recently, they became a Founding Member of the Private Directors Association's Orange County Chapter.
Jim Davidson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Political Science from UC Irvine in 1974. Jim then went on to pursue a Masters degree in Business, specializing in Finance and Accounting, from the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business. In addition to their degrees, Jim has obtained various certifications throughout their career, including Certified Board Advisor (CBA), Certified Merger & Acquisition Professional, Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA), Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP), Certified Merger and Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), Forensic Certified Public Accountant (FCPA), Certified Corporate Director (CD), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Fraud Specialist (CFS), and Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
