Amy Cohen Rodriguez

Amy Cohen-Rodriguez is an experienced educator and leader in the field of sports management. Currently serving as a teacher and head coach at Avant Garde Academy Broward since August 2022, Amy teaches 7th grade science and has previously instructed upper school physical education and team sports while also coaching boys and girls weightlifting and girls varsity flag football. Amy has extensive managerial experience in the restaurant industry, including roles as General Manager at Blaze Pizza, Service Manager at Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, and Managing Partner at Applebee's. Additionally, Amy’s diverse background includes positions such as Customer Service Manager at Town Sports International and Operations Manager at 24 Hour Fitness. Amy holds a Doctor of Education in Sports Management from Northcentral University, a Master of Science in Sport and Exercise Science from Florida International University, a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from Barry University, and an Associate of Science in Athletic Training from Dean College.
