Jona Whalen

Bringing nearly 40 years of healthcare experience with her, Jona joined the Avante Surgical team in 2009. Prior to joining Avante Surgical, she served in multiple clinical and business operational roles with United Surgical Partners International during a 15-year tenure. Her clinical experience includes nursing in the areas of Neurological Trauma, Private Physician Practice, ER, Pre-Operative/Post-Operative Anesthesia Care Unit, and the Operating Room. Experience in Business Office Operations, Revenue Cycle Management, and Administration bring to the team extensive experience in coding, billing, collections, contract negotiation, software implementation, and personnel oversight. This both sides of “the red line” experience is integral to her successful management of both Clinical and Business Operations.
