Dr. Markus Frank

Dr. Markus Frank has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. It started with their position as a Trainee at Student Exchange Australia New Zealand Ltd in 2007. Dr. Markus then worked as a Student Assistant at Uni Mannheim - Lehrstuhl für ABWL und Marketing Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Christian Homburg from 2010 to 2011. Dr. Markus later became a Student Assistant at TU Dresden - Lehrstuhl für Wirtschaftsinformatik insb. Systementwicklung - Prof. Dr. Werner Esswein from 2013 to 2014. Dr. Frank then transitioned to TMS Messen GmbH as a Project Manager for a brief period in 2015 before joining Technische Universität Chemnitz as a Research Associate from 2015 to 2021. Alongside their position at Technische Universität Chemnitz, they also worked at Universität Stuttgart as a Research Associate from 2017 to 2021. Currently, they hold the role of a Software Architect at Avantgarde Labs GmbH, which they began in 2021.

Dr. Markus Frank obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Wirtschaftsinformatik from the University of Mannheim, where they studied from 2008 to 2011. Dr. Markus then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Wirtschaftsinformatik at Technische Universität Dresden, completing their studies from 2012 to 2014.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Dr. Frank also holds a certification as a Certified Professional for Software Architecture. Dr. Markus obtained this certification from the iSAQB® - International Software Architecture Qualification Board in September 2022.
