Hern Kim has extensive experience as a medical device design consultant, specializing in the rapid development of Class I/II/III medical devices. Their expertise includes concept development, ergonomic studies, mechanical features, prototyping/design validation, and full-scale manufacturing. Throughout their career, Hern has worked on a variety of projects, ranging from catheter delivery/control systems and dental devices to surgical robotics and imaging systems. Hern has also provided their consulting services to companies such as Transmural Systems, PathMaker Neurosystems Inc., Cytrellis Biosystems Inc., TransMedics Inc., and Corindus Vascular Robotics. In addition to their role as a medical device consultant, Hern served as the Chief Design Officer at EZ Scope. Currently, they are working as a medical device consultant at Cision Vision. Hern's work experience spans from 2007 to the present.

Hern Kim has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from the Wentworth Institute of Technology. Hern also attended the College of Engineering at Boston University. Additionally, they graduated from Bronx High School of Science.
