Jon-Erik Chandler has a varied work experience. In 2022, they began working as a Software Developer for Avantia, Inc. From 2018-2022, they were a Web Developer at iCompute Consulting, LLC, where they designed and built custom applications, managed relational databases, worked with third-party APIs, and contributed to the Power Tool Repair Ohio application. From 2017-2018, they were a Substitute Bassoon for the Firelands Symphony Orchestra. From 2016-2017, they worked as a Busser at L'Albatros Brasserie. From 2014-2016, they were the Stage Manager and a member of the Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra. In 2015, they were a Masterclasses for Strings and Winds at the Banff Centre. From 2012-2014, they were a member of the Orford Academy Orchestra and the Masterworks Festival Orchestral Program. From 2010-2012, they were a member of the Catholic University of America Symphony Orchestra.

Jon-Erik Chandler attended Seton Home Study School from 2007 to 2010, where they earned their High School Diploma. Jon-Erik then attended The Catholic University of America from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Music in Bassoon Performance at Benjamin T. Rome School of Music. From 2014 to 2016, they attended the Cleveland Institute of Music, where they earned a Master's Degree in Bassoon Performance. Currently, they are attending Case Western Reserve University for the CWRU Coding Bootcamp.
