Nancy Petro has been working in the software development industry since 1982. Nancy began their career at Imperial Wallcoverings Inc as a Lead Programmer/Analyst, where they designed, coded, tested, implemented, and documented batch COBOL applications for users in the accounting, customer service, and design studio departments. Nancy also created business forms and authored user manuals. Nancy then joined Systemation (now Capgemini) in 1987 as a Software Developer, where they coded, tested, implemented, and documented batch COBOL accounting applications for telecommunications and transportation companies, created an online payroll time tracking application for an electric utility company, and troubleshot application problems and provided user support. In 1993, they joined Compare (formerly Adams & Reynolds) as a Software Developer, where they lead the development of a sales and invoicing Visual Basic program for a restaurant franchisee, developed custom reports that extracted information from the Flexi database, and participated on a team that developed a Visual Basic fixed assets system for a large greeting card corporation. In 1999, Nancy joined Rothman & Associates as a Software Developer, where they built a barcode scanning web site for a waste management company to improve inventory speed and accuracy, developed a web-based application to provide a tool and die company the ability to report standard cost information related to cost of goods sold, daily inventory, and work in process values, and created a web site for an organic body care product manufacturer to track their ingredients, inventory and recipes. Finally, in 2016, Nancy joined Avantia, Inc. as a Software Developer, where they worked on a custom built web application for a facility management company to allow the client to analyze data for customers, suppliers, purchase orders, payroll, finance, employees, and accounts payable, and created complex SQL queries and backend code for a workplace marketing company to acquire marketing information based on various demographic and location calculations.

Nancy Petro has a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, General from Bowling Green State University. Nancy has also taken continuing education courses at Cleveland State University. Additionally, they have attended Lakeland Community College.
