Karel Karis

Karel Karis is a Jr. Legal Counsel at Avantium since September 2024, bringing previous experience as an Advocaat at Lexence from March 2023 to July 2024 and as a Werkstudent in the same firm during late 2022. Karel also served as a Student Assistant Moot Court at Universiteit Leiden from January to September 2022, and worked as a Juridisch adviseur at De Leidse Rechtswinkel from November 2020 to April 2022. Additional roles include a Juridisch medewerker at Appjection from November 2018 to January 2022 and a Bestuurslid at Jurist en Werk between April 2020 and September 2021. Karel gained experience as a Student Trainee in Corporate Litigation at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek in early 2021. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Ondernemingsrecht and a Bachelor in de Rechten with a focus on Entrepreneurship & Management, both from Leiden University. Karel completed VWO at Vituscollege prior to higher education.
