Ye Zhang

Ye Zhang is the Director of Business Development at Avantium since October 2018, with previous roles including Adjunct Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University from January 2014 to 2019 and International Business Developer at TNO for a brief period in 2018. Zhang's expertise lies in business development for renewable energy technologies, particularly in solar energy, environmental technology, and biomass applications in China and Taiwan during tenure at the Energy Research Center of the Netherlands (ECN) from 2006 to 2018. Achievements include signing contracts for significant Dutch-Sino environmental projects and advancements in solar cell performance and technology transfer. Zhang holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering and an MSc in Chemical Technology from the University of Amsterdam, complemented by foundational education at Shanghai University of Engineering Science.
