Sunil Gera, MBA, has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Sunil currently holds the position of Director of Strategic Sourcing at Avantor since 2020. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2020, Sunil worked as the Director of Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain at JM Smith Corporation, where they were selected by the CEO to lead business transformation and implement best practices across the supply chain, resulting in increased visibility and reduced cost, risk, and time to market.

Before their role at JM Smith Corporation, Sunil served as the Category Sourcing Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific from 2011 to 2017. During this time, they developed and executed a global sourcing strategy, overseeing teams spanning different countries and achieving significant cost savings and revenue assurance.

From 2007 to 2011, Sunil was the Director of Operations & Supply Chain/Procurement Manager at S.S White Technologies Inc., where they implemented strategic sourcing initiatives and introduced a supply chain transformation roadmap, leading to cost reductions and improved on-time delivery.

Sunil's career began at DHL in 2006, where they served as the Assistant General Manager of SCM Operations, responsible for managing supply chain operations and improving profit margins through client relationships and restructuring delivery processes. Sunil also played a key role in executing synergy activities after DHL's acquisition of EXEL.

Prior to DHL, Sunil worked at Gillette/P&G as a Manager of Continuous Improvement, where they directed lean transformation initiatives and achieved significant cost savings and process improvements. Sunil'scareer started at Hero Honda in 1996, where they served as an Assistant Engineering Manager, leading process and methods engineering projects.

Throughout their career, Sunil Gera has consistently demonstrated strategic thinking, leadership, and the ability to implement transformative initiatives across the supply chain.

Sunil Gera, MBA, completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in International Trade from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Production Engineering from Punjab Engineering College from 1992 to 1996.

In addition to their formal education, Sunil Gera has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. These certifications include Prosci Change Management Expert from Prosci in 2019, Inbrasc Strategic Sourcing from Live University in 2015, PPI- Practical Process Improvement from Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2015, Global Trade Compliance from Thermo Fisher University in 2013, Shingo Lean Black Belt by simpler consulting in 2005, and Honda World Class Manufacturing from Honda in 2003.
