Kamran Moradi

Kamran Moradi, Ph.D., serves as the Head of Energy Storage and Development Engineering at Avantus since August 2020, previously holding positions as Director of Energy Storage and Solar Development at the same company and Director of Battery Energy Storage at Calpine. With a robust background in engineering, Kamran has experience as Product Manager for Battery Energy Storage at Greensmith Energy and as an Associate Member & Research Consultant at the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine, where notable projects included the development of medical device prototypes and software leveraging machine learning. Academic roles include Adjunct Professor and Research Teaching Assistant at Florida International University, along with research contributions at the University of Texas at Arlington and an engineering internship with Mercedes-Benz. Kamran earned a Ph.D. in Acoustofluidics from Florida International University and holds degrees in Computational and Applied Mathematics, Energy Conversion, and Thermal and Fluids.
