Gaston Vega Vallejo

Gaston Vega Vallejo has a long and varied work history. Gaston began their career as a Trainee at Siemens in 2000. In 2001, they moved to ABB as a Consultant. In 2002, they became a Senior Project Controller Region Asia, Spain and Latin America at Alstom. In 2007, they became a Corporate Strategy & Risk Management Consultant at LafargeHolcim. From 2011 to 2021, they were a Corporate Advisor, Co Founder and Executive VP at BaseTek (RB Newco) at Recaudo Bogotá S.A.S. In 2014, they became an MBA-Corporate Strategy & Innovation Professor at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. In 2019, they became the CEO & Co-Founder of Avanzo. Gaston currently serves as a Business Strategy Professor at Colegio de Estudios Superiores de Administración.

Gaston Vega Vallejo obtained a Bachelor in Business Administration from Universidad EAFIT between 1996 and 2001. Gaston then attended the University of Basel and obtained a Law & Economics degree in Business Administration between 2001 and 2002. Lastly, they obtained an Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Rochester - Simon Business School, with a focus on Finance and Strategy, between 2005 and 2007.
