Sam Laing

Sam Laing is an experienced professional in the fields of innovation and agricultural technology, currently serving as the Innovation and Data Manager at Avara Foods since February 2021. Previously, Sam held the position of Agricultural Technology Development Officer and owned a business at erb bioplastics Ltd from April 2018 to September 2020. Additionally, a brief freelance research role was undertaken in 2017 following academic studies at Newcastle University, where a degree in Agri-business management was earned. Earlier work experience includes roles as a barista at Laynes espresso and Costa coffee, as well as a sales advisor at The Car People. Educational qualifications also include an Access to HE in Physics and Maths from Park Lane College and a Cambridge CELTA from The University of Auckland.
