Iyan Fernandez

Iyan Fernandez is a seasoned professional with experience in data science and business analysis. Currently serving as a Senior Business Analyst at Avara since July 2024, Iyan previously excelled as a Data Science Consultant at Hometrack (part of Houseful) from June 2022 to June 2024, focusing on building machine learning models and generating strategic insights for the UK mortgage industry. As a Co-Founder of WaiWai Homes from May 2019 to April 2022, Iyan developed a SaaS-enabled marketplace aimed at enhancing the property search experience through innovative use of Big Data and machine learning. Earlier, Iyan worked as a Data Analyst at SEAT, S.A., where market strategies were developed for various regions using data analytics. Iyan holds an MSc in Data Science from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and a BSc in Economics from Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, alongside an exchange program in Economics from the University of Helsinki.
