Johan Bevemyr's work experience begins in 1991 when they worked as a researcher at Uppsala University until 1996. Johan then moved on to Ericsson AB, where they worked in research and development from 1996 to 1999. In 1999, Johan founded Bluetail and served as the founder until 2000. Johan also worked at Nortel Networks as a research and development professional from 1999 to 2005. Johan then co-founded Kreditor Europe AB, where they developed the initial system for Klarna/Kreditor from 2005 to 2006. Johan later founded and worked at Tail-f Systems as a chief software engineer and played a role in software development from 2005 to 2014. During their time at Tail-f Systems, Johan also held the position of co-founder. From 2014 to 2020, they worked at Cisco, initially as a principal engineer and later as a distinguished engineer. In 2020, Johan joined Fairpoint Capital as an industrial advisor and co-founded Avassa Systems as well. Johan currently holds the role of co-founder at Avassa Systems.

Johan Bevemyr pursued their education in the field of Computer Science at Uppsala University. Johan completed their Master's degree from 1987 to 1990, after which they proceeded to obtain a Ph.D. from 1991 to 1996, both at Uppsala University.
