Shawn Newton

Shawn Newton has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Shawn started their career in 2017 as a Student Technician at Ferris State University Student Technology Services, where they worked until 2018. In 2017, they also joined Lacks Enterprises as a Machine Operator, a role they held until 2019. Following this, they worked at the Ferris State Quad Cafe as a Student Worker from 2019 to 2020. In 2021, they briefly worked as a Food Delivery Driver at Jimmy John's. Currently, Shawn works at AvaSure as a Tier 1 Technical Support since 2023.

Shawn Newton completed their high school education from Jenison High School in the years 2012 to 2016, earning a High School Diploma. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Information Security and Intelligence from Ferris State University, with their education ongoing until 2021. In addition to their formal education, Shawn also obtained several certifications to supplement their knowledge and skills. In November 2021, they obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Earlier, in April 2021, they earned the CompTIA Network+ ce Certification and CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA. Prior to that, in December 2020, they obtained the TestOut Network Pro certification from TestOut Corporation. Shawn further expanded their qualifications by completing the Customer Service: Working in a Customer Contact Center certification offered by LinkedIn in January 2023.
