Nicolas Philippon

Nicolas Philippon has had a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Nicolas is currently the VP of Engineering at Avatar Medical since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Avatar Medical from June 2021 to December 2022.

Before joining Avatar Medical, Nicolas worked as a VR developer at Holovis from May 2016 to June 2021. Nicolas also worked as a VR Research Scientist at VTT from February 2011 to May 2016.

During their time at VTT, Nicolas co-founded Delta Cygni Labs, a spin-off company focused on developing advanced communication and interaction systems. Nicolas served as the Co-Founder from June 2013 to August 2015.

Before their involvement with Delta Cygni Labs, Nicolas owned their own company called StrangeAttractor from January 2009 to August 2013. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Manager at Tavae from March 2008 to December 2008.

Their earliest relevant work experience was at Virtools, where they worked as a Project & Solution Manager from December 2000 to February 2008.

Nicolas Philippon obtained their Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Sciences from the Université de Bordeaux from 1995 to 1999.
