Jesse Moore

Jesse Moore has a diverse work experience portfolio that spans across various industries and roles. Starting with their early career, Jesse worked as a Project Manager at ExxonMobil, where they successfully managed capital expense projects and completed a high-risk project involving the replacement of catalyst beds in the refinery. Jesse then joined Senex Energy as an Engineering Project Manager, where they consistently delivered projects on time and within budget, accounting for a significant portion of the company's annual production.

Transitioning to the technology sector, Jesse served as a Data Scientist at Zalando, where they built analytical tools and ETL pipelines, as well as developed predictive tools to enhance ad targeting and reduce revenue loss. Jesse later established their own venture, mobilads, as the Technical Founder, contributing to the company's growth and generating $5 million in annualized revenue through automation and the optimization of a geospatial system.

Jesse's expertise in deep learning and data science led him to work as the CEO and Technical Founder of Sigmai, where they developed an automated news classification engine. Under their leadership, the company was acquired by Commetric, further expanding its services to global brands. Jesse also contributed to Seeking Alpha as an Expert Contributor, providing analysis and authoring articles on macroeconomic events and publicly traded companies.

More recently, Jesse took up roles at VoiceOps and Avatar Securities, LLC. At VoiceOps, they served as the Principal Consultant Deep Learning, responsible for building AWS-based infrastructure and integrating transformers for machine learning. In their current role as the Head of Data Science at Avatar Securities, they played a crucial role in building and operating an event-based backtesting and trading engine, managing the quantitative trading infrastructure team, and optimizing the ETL pipeline for the quantitative database.

Jesse Moore attended the University of Alberta from 2007 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Mechanical Engineering. In addition to their academic achievements, Jesse has also obtained certifications from FINRA. In October 2021, they completed the Securities Industry Essentials certification, and in November 2021, they obtained the Series 57 - Securities Trader Representative certification.
